Mary Margaret Jimenez, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, 76 started her new life with Jesus on Sunday Morning, December 20, 2020.

Born on June 10, 1944 in San Bernardino, California. She grew up in Belen, New Mexico, and after marrying her dear husband of nearly 60 years, Manuel on January 5, 1963, spent the majority of her life in Deming, New Mexico.

“Mrs. Jimenez” as she was affectionately known, spent more than 20 years as a substitute teacher for The Deming Public School System. During her tenure she met and interacted with too many “kids” to count, and though she may have forgotten a few names over the years, she never forgot how much each and every person meant to her. She always made time to talk, and more importantly, listen to each and every person she came in contact with. She loved and was loved by many. She graced this world with her never-ending smile, a silly sense of humor, and always had a hug ready for any who might need one.

Her three children, Magdalena (Maggie) Shores, Marilicia (Marci) Keeler (who preceded her in death), and Manuel (Manny) Jimenez were happy to share their mother with all the children of Deming, and have such a beautiful example of unconditional love and acceptance.

It would be easy to say that Deming, and the world-at-large have lost a beautiful soul, but those who were fortunate enough to be touched by her presence know that she’ll never truly be lost, we’ll carry her love and spirit with us until we are able to rejoin her.

The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital www.stjude.org

This beautiful woman will be missed and cherished for eternity.

No services will take place as were her wishes. Cremation has been entrusted to Baca’s Mimbres Crematory. A celebration of her life will be held at a later time due to Covid 19.

Entrusted to the care of Baca’s Funeral Chapels.
