Irene was born on June 30, 1932 in Mimbres, NM to Eulogio Parra and Michaela Pacheco.
She loved the quiet, small town simple life and was always very selfless until the very end.
Irene was married to Frank Renteria for 60 years. She took pride in always saying she was a one-man-woman.
She enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends especially on special occasions where everyone would get-together at her home when possible listening to her country music, and cumbias as she danced to the rhythm. We must mention that one of her favorite songs was Fireball by Pitbull.
She made the meanest chili beans, spaghetti, and red chili con carne. Her homemade tortillas were second to none!
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She worked at Spring City Knitting, and as a supervisor for Border Foods, but enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom the best.
She stood strong in her faith continuously praying for all of her family.
She is survived by two sons, Frankie J. Renteria and his wife Rosie of Las Cruces, NM and Ricky Renteria and his wife Alicia of Rio Rancho, NM; four daughters, Gloria Benningfield and her husband Kelly of Deming, NM; Tina Villa of Duncan, AZ; Lorraine Renteria of Deming, NM and Yolanda Elizalde and her husband Robert of Orange, TX; one sister, Jennie Lozano and her husband Robert of Victorville, CA; twenty five grandchildren, fifty great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, Frank “Kiko” Renteria; one son, Ruben Renteria; three daughters, Irma Villasano, Sylvia Bledsoe and Sandra Renteria; two brothers, Manuel and David Parra; one sister, Concha Peña; one grandson, Gerald Renteria; one granddaughter, Tammy Renteria and one son in law, TJ Villa.
