Ivan Leon Goodyear was born on August 2, 1941 in Roswell, NM to Harold Leon Goodyear and Erma Lee Depue Goodyear.

At the tender age of 5, his mother passed away leaving him and his younger brother Dewey to be raised by his father. Being the rebel that he was, he dropped out of school in the 7
th grade. By the time he turned 17, he enlisted in the army and graduated training on December 4, 1958 in Fort Carson, Colorado. While stationed at Fort Bragg in North Carolina, he met his young wife, Janice. They had 2-children, Leon and Elizabeth. After serving 4-yrs in the Army, he went on to become a truck driver which was the perfect occupation for him. He loved to travel and spent most of his life driving the highways. He loved fast cars, Harley Davidson motorcycles, county music, cartoons and his favorite of all, food. His love of motorcycles almost brought about his demise in 2001 when he was involved in a very bad motorcycle accident. He still had a love of Motorcycles but could no longer ride or drive a semi. He loved it when his grandson Dusty or his best friend Doug Dye would pick him up to go for rides and grab a bite to eat. He eventually settled in to being a grandfather and great grandfather. Thanks to his granddaughter Cadi Fetrow (his caregiver), he was able to stay in his own home, around his family, great grandchildren and lots of animals and a lot of good food for many years.

He was preceded in death by his father Harold Leon Goodyear, mother Erma Lee Depue Goodyear, stepmother Esther Goodyear and his brother Dewey L. Goodyear. He is survived by his son Leon Goodyear and his wife Pam, his daughter Elizabeth Leonard, granddaughter Candi Fetrow and husband James, their children Cheyenne, Kara, Ty and Cooper, his grandson Dusty Goodyear, his granddaughter Samantha Goodyear and her daughter Carly (all from Deming, NM) and many nieces and nephews.

Manuel S. Armendariz was born on April 11th 1937 to Jose Armendariz and Teresa Sainz Boatman.

His childhood was spent raising rabbits and running errands for his grandparents who he loved dearly. At age 18 he joined the United States Navy where he was stationed in San Diego and traveled to many places including Hawaii and Japan. In 1960 he met the love of his life and as he often joked, a chase ensued until they wed in 1961. Exactly one year later on their 1
st wedding anniversary they welcomed their 1st child and then 11 and 12 years later they completed their family with 2 more children.

Manny took great pride in being a veteran and fireman and EMT with the Deming fire department where he earned multiple awards including fireman of the year and outstanding fireman for his efforts in saving many lives. However, if you were to ask Manny to speak of his greatest accomplishment without hesitation he would say it would be earning the title of grandfather. it has been said that Manny was in fact “Demings Grandpa.” Those who had the pleasure of knowing Manny knew him as simple “Grandpa.” Grandpa always came ready with a hug, a kiss and if you were lucky one of his famous burritos and bowl of his green chili. He never missed an event in his grandchildren lives and never let a moment pass without reminding those around him how much he loved and cred for them. Grandpa Manny will forever be loved and missed by everyone whoever crossed his path, be it for a minute or for years. Manny is proceeded in death by his beloved grandparents Jesus and Anita Sainz, parents Jose Armendariz and Teresa Boatman, Aunt Elvira Lucero, seven siblings Jim “Tata” Sainz, Joe “Polo” Armendariz, Anita “Nena” Gostulis, Richard “Baby” Saenz, Clara House, Pete Sainz, and Tony Boatman, a very special sister-in-law Rosie M. Lopez and his loving wife of nearly 60 years Dora L. Armendariz.    grandchildren, Ashley (Austin) Powell, Emily and Liam Armendariz and his two great grandchildren Emersyn and Jayne Wyatt Powell.
