She was known for her kind heart and her ability to see the good in people. Everyone who knew her loved her. She will be dearly missed by her children and grandchildren. Dee’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing.
Dee spent her life raising her children and always keeping a tidy home, which she passed along to her children. She would always make sure we knew to start the day with a made bed. This was one rule we knew not to break in her house. Once she became a grandma she extended that care and compassion to her grandchildren. She loved to listen to her oldies music up until her death. Talking about old times was one of her favorite things to do. She loved going for long drives just to remember her times growing up in Deming with her cousins. Elvis Presley will never sound the same without mom.
She was preceded in death by her mother Ila Mae, her father Dee Carl, her daughter DeeAnna Kay, and grandson Adam Dean.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 10am at Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Mason Davis officiating. An inurnment will then take place at Mountain View Cemetery.
