In loving Memory of Christian Joe Franco
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christian Joe Franco, a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. Christian departed this world all too soon and entered eternal rest on October 9, 2023.
Christian was born on June 27, 1999, in Deming, NM to Cesar Martin Franco and Carmen Marie Chacon. Christian was a vibrant soul, known for his passion for music. He was a proud member of the Deming High School band for four years, where he showcased his talents playing the French horn and trumpet. During this time he made lifelong friends with his fellow musicians and Band Directors.
Christian’s warmth and love for his family were immeasurable. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, especially his momma, brother, sisters, and nephews and nieces. His infectious smile could light up any room, and he made sure he was always wearing it. His presence brought comfort and joy to those fortunate enough to know him.
In his memory, we are left with a legacy of music, laughter, love, and deep bonds of family that Chrisitan cherished so dearly. He may be gone from our sight, but his spirit lives on in the notes of his music and the hearts of all who were privileged to share his life.
Christian is survived by his momma, Carmen Chacon of Deming, one brother, Cesar Franco and partner George Torres of Las Cruces, three sisters, Tiffany Franco and husband Michael of Deming; Carmen Franco of Las Cruces; and Gabriella Franco of Las Cruces, and eight nephews and two nieces, Dominic and Elijah White; Leo and Luna Balencia; Josiah, Malachi and Jeremiah Franco; MyReina, Chip and Lazarus. He was especially close to his Tia Misty Chacon of Deming and was close to her both as a nephew and sibling growing up. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins from both his mother's and father’s sides.
Christian is preceded in death by his dad Cesar Martin Franco, paternal grandmother, Amparo Rodriguez; maternal grandparents, Jose “Yole” Chacon and Petra “Pompi” Chacon; and his aunt Yolanda Jasso.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 5:30-6pm with the holy rosary beginning at 6pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapel. Funeral mass will be on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 9:30am at St. Ann Catholic Church with Father, Prakasham Babu officiating. Cremation will then take place at Terrazas Crematory. Serving as pallbearers are Cesar Franco, Jose Diaz, Angel Omar Sandoval, Roger Kemp, Daniel Basurto and Frederick Dominguez. Honorary pallbearers are his uncles, aunts, and cousins.
