In memory of Marsha Lynn Edwards, August 12, 1950- May 3, 2018.
Marsha Edwards, 67, of Deming, NM was granted her angel wings on Thursday, May 3, 2018, after a short second battle with cancer.  She spent her final days in her home surrounded by family and friends that she had loved throughout her life.

Marsha was born in Detroit Lakes, MN to Bruce and Vivian Biddick.  She was raised in Lakefield, MN and later moved to Uvalde, TX with her parents and siblings.

While in Uvalde, she met and married Roger Miller.  His Border Patrol career brought them to Deming where they started a family and made many friends.  Their two children, Heather and Patrick, were raised in Deming.  After the marriage ended she continued to live in Deming and work at Deming Dental Services where she was well known to many patients.

She married Dr. John Edwards in October 1982.  Together they were active in Holy Family Catholic Church, the Wildcat Booster Club and the Luna County Republican party.  She continued to be involved with these groups after his passing, even calling Bingo games and volunteering at the annual Klobase lunch.  Marsha was on the board of the Community Health Foundation in Deming and she loved to visit the animal shelter leaving donations and taking her grandchildren along to help out.  In the 1990s she earned her scuba diving certification and welcomed a Chinese exchange student, Xiaojing, whom she continued to maintain a relationship with.
For more than 20 years she was in a loving relationship with Delbert Nevins.  Together they traveled the world seeing places like Norway, Hawaii, and all parts of Europe.  They built a beautiful home and enjoyed life on the Rio Mimbres Country Club golf course.  She loved his children and grandchildren as if they were her own.

Marsha never met a stranger and made everyone she met feel like family.  She genuinely loved caring for others and was always quick to think of them before herself.  She leaves a legacy in the thousands of photos that she took throughout her lifetime.  She was well known in Deming and always took the time to greet people by name.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

On Saturday, May 5, 2018, Marsha was honored as a Cancer Warrior at the annual Celebration of Life cancer walk.  Her office family and friends carried a banner along with TOPS students who carried fans with her likeness.  It was a day of remembrance and celebration for all who honored her and her battle against breast cancer.

She is survived by her partner Delbert Nevins: daughter, Heather (Trent) Doolittle of Las Cruces, NM; son, Patrick Miller of Brunswick, GA; siblings: Barbara Reedy of Deming, NM; Jon Biddick and Todd Biddick both of Uvalde, TX.  Grandchildren Bailey and Gage Miller of FL; McKenzie, Ainzley and Linzey Doolittle of Las Cruces, NM.  She also leaves many nieces and nephews as well as several children and grandchildren that she had “adopted” throughout her life; Xiaojing (Tony) Bright of CA; Scott (Dorothy) of Phoenix, AZ; Mark (Gloria) Nevins of Mesquite, NM; Kepra (Luke) Jack of Phoenix, AZ; and all of their children: Lauren, Alexis, Kalvin, Kelsey, Wade, Reese, Brandan and Lexi.
