Paul M. Jimenez

Paul M. Jimenez, 69, a resident of Deming, NM entered eternal rest on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Mimbres Memorial Hospital in Deming, NM. Paul was born on June 20, 1949 in Deming, NM to Pablo Ortiz Jimenez and Josephine Bailon Mendoza.

He is survived by his wife, Ersilia S. Velasquez; four sons,  Paul P. Jimenez of Grants, NM; Daniel Steven Jimenez of Deming, NM; Eric Michael Jimenez and his wife Amanda of Deming, NM and Arthur Isaiah of Deming, NM; two, daughters, Sandra Paulette Weeks and her husband Lee of El Paso, TX and Sarah Elena Hernandez and her husband Miguel of El Paso, TX; one brother,  Frank Jimenez and his wife Ernestina of Lordsburg, NM; one sister, Delfina Jimenez of Tucson, AZ and seven grandchildren.  

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Silvia Jimenez. Holy rosary will be on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 9:30am at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Funeral mass will then begin at 10:00am at St, Ann’s Catholic Church with Father, Prakasham Babu officiating.

Concluding service will take place at Mt. View Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Henry Soto, Victoria Jimenez, Bobby Mendoza, Dan Cedada, Mike Sanchez and Julian Ortega. Arrangements are with Terrazas Funeral Chapels

William Eugene May Jr.

WILLIAM EUGENE MAY JR., 66, a lifelong resident of Deming passed away Thursday December 13, 2018 at Sierra Medical Center in El Paso.

Family and friends will gather this Friday December 21, 2018 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at Baca’s Funeral Chapel for a time of remembrance and fellowship.  Cremation has taken place at Baca’s Mimbres Crematory.  Inurnment will take place at a later date.

William was born May 26, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan to William and Alberta May.  He graduated from high school and afterward enlisted with the United States Marine Corps.  William later entered the United States Army from which he was honorably discharged on May 21, 1985.  He enjoyed mechanic work and especially had an interest in guns and shooting sports.

He is survived by his son Brian C. May of Deming; his father William Eugene May Sr. of Deming; brothers, Lawrence Douglas May, Garth Andrew May, and Clare Alexander May; and his first cousin, Kenneth Updegraff.

BRENDA ANNE RANSONE, 69, a longtime resident of Deming passed away Friday December 7, 2018 at Mimbres Memorial Hospital.
​
Visitation will be Monday December 17, 2018 from 10 to 2 at Baca’s Funeral Chapel where funeral services will begin at 2 o’clock with Rev. Darrell L. Witmer officiating.  Concluding services and interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery.

Brenda was born October 19, 1949 in Charlottesville, Virginia to Charlie and Shirley Schumaker.  Even though Brenda was physically challenged she still managed her home and acquired a Bachelor of Applied Sciences and Criminal Justice Degree.

Brenda passed in her sleep leaving behind the love of her life, her husband David Lee Ransone of Deming; children, Troy Herndon of Buckingham, VA, Gwendolyn Herndon of Scottsville, VA; sisters, Amanda Liston of Fairfield, IL, Karen Beasley of Palmyra, VA, Shawn Woolford of Scottsville, VA; brother, Chuck Schumaker of Kenbridge, VA; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Troy Herndon, Sonny Liston, Wendell Hardegree, Andrew Smith. 
Entrusted to the care of Baca’s Funeral Chapels.
