Luciano V. Montes, 80, a resident of Deming, NM went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 29, 2022 at his residence.
Luciano was born on June 20, 1942 to Manuel Montes and Antonia Valencia in Silver City, NM. He is survived by four sons, Randall Montes and his companion Mandy of Albuquerque, NM; Andrew Montes of Deming, NM, Michael Berry and his wife Sarah of Ohio and Matthew Berry and his wife Jennifer of Deming, NM; three daughters, Frances Montes and her companion Joe of Silver City; Judy Lucero of Las Cruces, NM and Dianne Grijalva of Silver City, NM; one brother, Sam Montes of Deming, NM; four sisters, Nora Peña of Deming, NM; Evelyn Pino of Edgewood, NM; Mary Salazar of Tucson, AZ and Lydia Faber and her husband Harold of Trinidad, CO; seventeen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by both of his parents; his wife Yvonne Montes; three brothers, Joe Montes, Fred Montes and Ben Montes; four sisters, Leonides Muñoz, Luisa Martinez, Ruth Hernandez and Eppie Hernandez and one great grandson, Lawrence Manuel Grijalva III.
A holy rosary will be on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 9:30am with Lucy Villegas officiating at Holy Family Catholic Church.
Memorial mass will then begin at 10am with Father, Prakasham Babu officiating. Concluding services with an inurnment will be at Mountain View Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his wife.
Arrangements are with Terrazas Funeral Chapel & Crematory.
