Amado, which means “The Beloved One” passed away Wednesday December 16, 2020 after being hospitalized almost 3 month’s.

Visitation will be Tuesday December 29, 2020 at 9 o’clock in the morning at St. Ann Catholic Church where a rosary will begin at 10 o’clock. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 o’clock with concluding services and interment to follow at Mt. View Cemetery.

Amado, known to many as “Whitey” was a hard working man. He was a joker and made people laugh every where he went. Often people said he resembled Robin Williams. He loved to play pool, enjoyed football and roller skating and listening to his favorite music. Amado had a big appetite and loved all kinds of foods especially during the holidays.

He loved tamales, menudo, chile rellenos, capirotada, posole, and he especially loved sweets, biscochitos, lemon pie and cherry pie were his favorites. Hopefully we will all sit with him at the table again. He also liked to read Louis L’Amour books and going camping with family and friends. We pray for God’s strength as we all loved him so much. We will miss him and were blessed to have known him. We will see him again.

He leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Carmen Baca Gonzales; sons, Johnny Gonzales and Miguel R. Gonzales; grandsons, Johnny Jr., Andy, Joey, Michael, Ricky, Randy and Matthew; granddaughters Michelle and Sandy; great grandchildren Musa, Matthew, Jordan, Gabriel, Anthony, Sergio and Zeke, Corrina, Katlyn, Victoria, Natalie, Christina, Kaylani, Lanoi, Miliani, and Zoey; great great grandson Dominik; sisters, Stella, Marcy, Corrina, Gloria, Aurora; brothers Gilbert, Marcos and Willie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcos and Elicia Gonzales and 1 brother Benny.
