Waldo E. "Brownie" Brown

​WALDO E. "BROWNIE" BROWN, 89, Deming resident , passed away Wednesday December 7, 2016, at his home  at Kingdom of The Sun with his daughter, Marcia Mallick by his side.
 
A Memorial service will be held Friday December 9, 2016 at 11 o'clock at The First United Methodist Church. Inurnment will be held privately at Ft. Bayard National Cemetery with military honors accorded.
Cremation will be by Baca's Mimbres Crematory.
 
He was born March 17, 1927, in Brockton, New York , the son of the late Lewis and Ada (Colt) Brown. Brownie  graduated from Fredonia High School, class of 1945 and served in the United States Army. He served in Germany in World War II, in the offices of Patton's Third Army Headquarters 1945-1947. He married his high school sweetheart on September 3, 1948. Brownie was manager of G.C. Murphy Company stores in New York State and Pennsylvania for over 25 years. He was also the supervisor of K-Mart  warehouse in Reno, Nevada. He and Lucile retired and traveled the U.S. in an RV for 10 years, finally settling down in KOTS in Deming in 2000.
 
Brownie will be missed by his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Judy Brown of Vidalia, Georgia; his daughter, Marcia Mallick of China; 3 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
 
In addition to his parents, Brownie was predeceased by his beloved wife of 66 years, Lucile E. (Baldwin) Brown, who passed away in 2014, and by his brothers, Lamont and Glen and a sister, Ellen.                             
 
Entrusted to the care of Baca’s Funeral Chapels.
