SHIRLEY ANN STEELE, 63, resident of Deming passed away Tuesday January 1, 2019 at her residence.
Visitation will be this Friday, January 11, 2019 from 4 to 6 at Baca’s Funeral Chapel in Deming where a prayer vigil will begin at 6 o’clock. Cremation will follow at Baca’s Mimbres Crematory.
Shirley was born March 23, 1955 in East Meadow, New York to Frederick Schroder and Angela Palomarez. She has been a resident of Deming for 4 years having previously lived in South Dakota. In South Dakota she was a cook at a nursing facility and all her life loved music, dancing, cooking and baking. She also enjoyed crafts and was very good at crochet, making wind chimes as well as many other craft items. Her family was of utmost importance to her and she always looked forward to spending time together.
She is survived by her husband, Duane Steele of Deming; her mother Angela Gallegos of Deming; children, Alexander Palomarez of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Ramon Suarez of Deming, Evangeline Schroder and Emily Schroder of Deming, her stepson Kevin Steele of Sheridan, Wyoming; brother Frederick Schroder Jr. of New York; sister Erin Schroder of Florida; 14 grandchildren, Destinee and her companion Arlen, Karizma, Trinity, Mariah, Michael, Tabion, Xander, Kathryn, Jasmyn, Brooklyn, Marilyn, Andrea, Lisa and Daniel; 3 step grandchildren, Dean, Jackson, and Robert; 3 great grandchildren, Rodger, Jason, and Joesiah, and 1 on the way. She was preceded in death by her father and by a brother, Charles Anthony Schroder.
