
Roger is survived by Sylvia of the family home; one daughter, Kim Ange of Louisville, Kentucky; step-daughter, Melodee Essex of Concord, NC; several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Aas and wife Charlene of Nanpa, Idaho; Calvin Aas and wife Judy of Sisseton, SD; Warren Aas and wife Sue of Watertown, SD; three sisters, Karen Niles and husband Mick of Chamberlain, SD; Judy Gustasson and husband Gary of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Linda Wike and husband Richard of Billings, Montana; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Richard Aas.
He spent 3 years (1963-1966) in the U.S. Army in Germany with an Honorable discharge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and race car driving and was a member of the Southwestern Trapshooting club in Silver City. He loved serving the Lord in any way he could at Tyrone Community Church for many years, and was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
A Memorial service will be held at Terrazas Funeral Chapels Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 10am with Pastor Trent Patty officiating. Concluding service and inurnment will take place with full military honors at Fort Bayard National Cemetery.
Cremation has taken place at Terrazas Crematory.
