
Visitation will be Friday afternoon, February 2, 2018, beginning at 4 o'clock until 7 at Baca’s Funeral Chapel. Rosary will be recited Saturday February 3, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church led by Suzanne Lundy. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 o’clock. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery with Father Ronald Machado, Pastor, officiating.
Paulette was born May 9, 1969 in Deming; she was daughter to Apolonia Lucero and Mike Quarrell, Sr.; sister to six brothers. She graduated from Deming High School in 1987 and retired with NM Public Schools after 25 years as a teacher, student council adviser, cheer coach, instructional leader, new teacher mentor, instructional specialist, academic specialist, and assistant principal. After 2 ½ months of retirement she was excited to start a new journey with Tucson Unified School District as a district Teacher Mentor. She was a communicant of the Catholic Church and avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
She will be remembered for her affectionate smile that uplifted the spirits as she made an entrance, the love for cooking and sharing her posts and her enthusiasm for life itself.
She is survived by Matthew James White of San Francisco, CA, whom she called her son; 5 brothers, Barney Quarrell and wife Bertha of Tucson, AZ, Mike Quarrell and wife Marlene, James Quarrell and wife Kathy, Frank Quarrell and wife Mary, Charlie Quarrell and wife of JoAnn all of Deming; many nieces, nephews, Godchildren, extended family members, colleagues, and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Apolonia Quarrell; brother, Louie Quarrell.
Pallbearers will be Derek Almanza, Christopher Quarrell, Dustin Armendariz, Jacob Quarrell, Manny Marrufo Jr. and Lars Milo.
