
Growing up, Patricia lived in Livonia, MI where she attended public schools, and until graduating from Bentley High School in Livonia, MI. Patricia was a classical trained pianist with a BA degree in Music Therapy from Michigan State University (MSU), and a Graduate Degree in Special Education from Western New Mexico University (WNMU) in Silver City, NM.
Pat worked for the school systems in Grant County for ten years in various positions of Special Education and Music Therapy. Pat was well sought after a musician. She performed in many recitals and accompaniments. She also taught music for several years and always willing to assist learning pianist. Her husband comments on how she would play most afternoons for around two hours. Live music filled their home on most days. In 1995 she joined her husband in their Furniture retail business until retirement.
Pat was a beautiful compassionate soul. She would give her full attention to others when asked and be willing to assist them tasks, ideas and misc. projects.
Patricia loved the wilderness areas of the Southwest United States. Many vacations and weekends were spent in various wilderness areas of New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Tony Prewit; her mother, Patricia LaMarche; two brothers, Mike LaMarche and family; David LaMarche and family; one sister, Sue Patterson and family. She was preceded in death by her father, C.R. LaMarche.

A Memorial Service will not be until sometime in the Fall (September-October).
Cremation has taken place at Terrazas Crematory.
