Before his decline in health, he loved to travel. Because of his leadership roles within the cable TV industry, he was able to travel with his wife to many wonderful locations. He loved traveling to visit children and grandchildren and then in later years, delighted in their visits to Silver City. Many memorable time were had with grandchildren and great-grandchildren roasting hotdogs and s’mores at Little Walnut.
One of his most favorite pastimes involved a fishing pole in hand. He has fished many a river, lake and reservoir.
