NELDA F. SHIFLETT, 88, passed away Friday December 31, 2021 in Las Cruces.
A graveside service will be Wednesday January 5, 2022 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at Mt. View Cemetery. Ed Curry will officiate.
Nelda was born May 6, 1933 in Lubbock, Texas to Frank and Norma (Brian) Brisco. She married Francis Shiflett on December 30, 1950 in Morton, Texas. Nelda was a wonderful homemaker and support to her husband of 51 years. She was a loving mother and grandma to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.
Nelda is survived by her children, Terry Song (John) of San Lorenzo, NM, Vicki Johnson (Kit) of Las Cruces, NM, Dale Shiflett (Lisa) of Deming and Gary Shiflett (Sandy) of Deming; 9 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Francis Shiflett, granddaughter Cassie Shiflett, and 3 sisters.
In lieu of flowers family requests memorial contributions be made to the Baptist’s Children’s Home, Drawer 629, Portales, NM 88130.
