
Visitation will be Monday afternoon April 5, 2021 from 3 to 6 at Baca’s Funeral Chapel. Due to Covid -19 restrictions only 10 people at a time will be allowed. A graveside service will be Tuesday morning, April 6, 2021 at 10 o’clock at Mt. View Cemetery with Deacon Bill Holguin officiating. Current cemetery restrictions allow 10 people at the graveside with the remainder of those attending to remain in their vehicles. Services will be livestreamed on Baca’s Funeral Chapel website.
Michael was born July 13, 1963 in Deming to Manuel A. and Mary (Aragon) Granado. He graduated from Deming High School in 1981 and shortly thereafter moved to Odessa where he made his home. Michael was a NGL Pipeline Division Field Technician and was working for DCP Midstream in Odessa. He was proud of his work and his work ethic will leave a lasting impression on all who knew him. His generosity was abundant and he was known to offer help to people around him. His life revolved around his daughter and grandchildren. He coached his daughter’s softball teams and carried on the tradition by coaching his granddaughter’s teams. His grandsons shared his wit and sense of humor. He was a regular fixture at all his daughter’s extracurricular activities and was thrilled to begin the same with his grandchildren. He loved riding with his brothers, often taking long trips to visit family and friends. He was an avid reader, loved talking politics and current events and was an amazing drummer.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Granado of Silver City, N.M., daughter Heilee Linnea Granado of Odessa; brothers, Manny Granado Jr. of Harker Heights, TX, and Steve Granado (Bonnie) of Odessa; sisters Betty Vega (Fred) of Silver City, Terri Granado-Dixon of Albuquerque, N.M., and Ginny Garlow of Phoenix, AZ; his grandchildren who he adored are Jordynn Mykell Granado, Ellington McVale Williams and Princeton McVale Williams; his former wife Lisa Granado. He was dearly loved by his nephews and nieces and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his father Manuel Granado.
Pallbearers will be Steve Granado, Manny Granado, DeCobiaen Williams, Jon Kaderly, Manny Granado III and Danny Armendariz.
