Megan was an original. There will never be another. She comes from a large, loud, loving, boisterous family. She was blessed to grow up with aunts, uncles, and many cousins close by. She loved them all dearly. She has a large extended family in Washington, Colorado, Texas, and California. Megan had many circles of friends – soccer, tennis, church, cousins, pool, school, and teachers. Megan’s true love was her nephew Dante – he got all her kisses. Megan loved kids, babysitting and teaching swimming lessons. Megan loved her friends with all her heart. She relied on their support through her struggles, and they did not let her down. She was a fierce defender of her friends.
Megan was the youngest of her siblings and spent her childhood keeping up with her sisters. As a young girl Megan was involved in the Deming Soccer League and enjoyed playing through the different age groups up until she played on the LadyCat Soccer Team. She played defense with her sister Emily. She was a member of the Deming Dolphin Swim Team from the age of 6-13. In high school, she became involved with school leadership and enjoyed her time as Student Council Vice President, President, and many other offices during her four years. She was also a Big Cat, Little Cub mentor. She was only supposed to have 1 cub, but the freshman flocked to her, and she would have up to 8. Her favorite time of year in high school was tennis season and the opportunity she had to spend each afternoon with her friends on the tennis team. She graduated in May 2022 from Western New Mexico University with an Associates in Liberal Arts and from Early College High School. She was part of the first graduating class of the Early College High School. She was excited to attend NMSU in August and pursue a degree in Communication Disorders.
