Maria De La Luz Caro

Maria De La Luz Caro, 85, a resident of Santa Clara, NM entered eternal rest Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, an excellent seamstress and a great cook.

She was born September 12, 1934 in San Francisco de Borja, Chihuahua, Mexico to Jose Maria Cano and Josefa Saenz.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ysidro Caro.  She is survived by two sons, Leo Caro of Arenas Valley; Antonio Caro and wife Pam of Denver, CO; one daughter, Maria De Los Santos of Gilbert, AZ; six grandchildren, Tyler, Erika, Leksi, Sydney, Miah, and Allison; one great grandchild, Khalil; four brothers, Adolfo Cano, Luis Fernando Cano and wife Primitiva, Laurencio Cano and wife Yolanda, and Arturo Cano of San Fco. De Borja; three sisters, Josefina Hernandez of Chihuahua, Isabel Parra, and Irma Aguirre and husband Felin; sister-in-laws Socorrito Del Val, Sofia Hernandez, and Graciela Tapia of San Fco de Borja, Chihuahua; numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Domitila and three brothers, Jose Dolores, Reynaldo and Elias.

Visitation will be Friday, July 17 from 9 – 10 am at Terrazas Funeral Chapels followed by the holy rosary recited by Carmen Terrazas at 10 am. 

The funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30 am at Santa Clara Catholic Church with Father Casmir officiating. 

Concluding service and interment will follow at Hurley cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Tyler Gonzales, Paul Gonzales, Ruben Villalba, Jenny Quezada, Arturo Cano, and Cob Rios. 

COVID-19 restrictions are still at 25% capacity and face masks are required. 

​Arrangements are with Terrazas Funeral Chapels.
