Joe Arthur Jones, 90, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, TX.
He was born January 31, 1927 in Dumas, Arkansas to Mark Jones and Annie Morgan. He proudly served our country with the U.S. Army. He is survived by his loving wife, Ruby Jacqueline Jones of the family home; two daughters, Shelley Marek of Silver City; Jill Short (Tom) of Carthage, MD; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Lyla Woods, and Doris Fleet both of Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Leanne Evans; his grandson, Russell Short; one brother, Oscar Jones; three sisters, Alice Smith, Dorothy Denton, and Catrina Mooney.
A Memorial Service with military honors will be celebrated on Friday, January 12 at 4pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with Rev. David Goble officiating.
Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
