In her youth you could find her at her dad Don’s hip, helping him with the horses and learning everything he had to offer. Jessi was a true cowgirl, the perfect mixture of tough and sweet. She would never go unnoticed in any room, from her infectious laugh and loud remarks to her warm smile and compassion. She was a true and close friend to many, but to almost everyone, she gave sound advice and motivation that would make you hold your head a little higher. She enjoyed a good laugh and a good time, and she was always the life of the party. Jessi touched not only the lives of those who were fortunate to get to know her personally, but also to the lives of those she encountered through her years as a nurse.
For close to a decade she provided the best care for her patients in home health and, her favorite, the emergency room, where she could almost always be found at their side getting to know them and providing unlimited laughs and a kind of comfort that only she could provide. She was never afraid to speak her mind, and never hesitated to express herself and her love for those around her. Jessi took pride in being a mother, both to her biological daughters and all of those whom she took under her wing.
She is survived by her mother Theresa, her daughters Kiley, Paci and Grady, her sisters and brother, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Baca's funeral home has been entrusted for care of eternal rest.
Jessi’s Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. on Sept. 30 at the Adobe Deli in Deming, NM for those who wish to honor her memory.
