Jim proudly served in the United States Army. He was a man of many likes and dislikes, but the one thing is, he loved listening to and telling jokes. He loved the outdoors whether it was camping or just going for a drive in the woods, and he was a lover of guns mostly black powder revolvers, because he was a fan of John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. He was easy to get along with and make friends with you easily. Despite his many flaws, he was a decent father and he used to live by a single golden rule "If you're not laughing, you're not living"--
Jim is survived by his mother, Lenora Stride Harris, his son, James Sean Harris of Silver City, NM; his companion Gena Ciomek of Las Cruces, NM; his brother Tim Harris of Hachita, NM; his two sisters, Marina Bowen and Sherrie Cook of Las Cruces, NM his grandchildren, Gary, Becky, Donna, Justin, Gerrette & Christopher; He is preceded in death by his father; and his one sister Carol Faulkner.
