
Hortencia was born on November 27, 1933 to Jose L. Benavidez and Esperanza Centeno. Hortencia, was a very active person always busy working, and helping with the church bbq's and other fundraisers. She loved sewing, crocheting and canning.
One of her other many hobbies was gardening she loved her rose bushes. But the one thing that she is best known for is her love for cooking and baking. She is survived by two sons, Ronnie Tarazon of Deming, NM and Frankie Tarazon and his wife Norma of Deming, NM; two daughters, Rossana Trujillo of Albuquerque, NM and Michelle Garcia and her husband Jimmy of Deming, NM; one brother, Carlos Benavidez; three sisters, Ernestina Saenz, Teresa Shore and Aurora Vega; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose L. Benavidez and Esperanza Centeno; her husband, Manuel S. Tarazon; four brothers, Raul Benavidez, Domingo Benavidez, Andrew Benavidez and Armando Benavidez; one sister, Inez Ceballos.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 9:30-10:30M at St. Ann Catholic Church.
Holy rosary will begin at 10:30am with Lucy Villegas officiating. Funeral mass will then begin at 11am with Father, Casmir Anozie officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Ryan Garcia, Jesus Tarazon, Joseph Tarazon, Robert Cortez, Frankie Gonzales, Anthony Tarazon and Noah Grado.
Due to covid restrictions only 25% church capacity is allowed at a time and you must wear your mask at all times.
