Henry Padilla Sedillos, 73, a resident of North Hurley, NM entered eternal rest Thursday, August 26, 2021 at his daughter’s residence in Las Cruces, NM. He was born May 10, 1948 in Silver City, NM. Henry proudly served his country for 4 years with the U. S. Army. He worked at the mines for 18 years. He was self-employed as a contractor till the day he left. He enjoyed talking to people, driving around, hunting, watching sports whether live or on TV. He loved eating especially if someone was cooking for him. He especially loved his family and friends.
He is survived by his son, Antonio Efren Sedillos (Lisa) of Anderson, MO; two daughters, Alicia “Ali” Torrez (Eric) of Las Cruces; Samantha Nañez (Willie) of Grants, NM; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother, Michael Sedillos (Molly)of Silver City; one sister, Dolores Dees of Silver City; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Rudy and Reynaldo Sedillos; two sisters, Lupita Peña and Ruby Chavez.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 2nd from 9:30-10:00am at Hurley Infant Jesus Shrine with the holy rosary being recited by Deacon Art Gutierrez to commence at 10:00am. The funeral mass will follow at 11:00am with Father Casmir Anozie officiating. Inurnment will take place at Fort Bayard National Cemetery with full military honors on Friday, September 3rd at 2pm.. Pallbearers are Anthony Nañez, Matthew Sedillos, A.J. Sedillos, Mikey Sedillos, Peter Peña, and Sam Arellano. Honorary pallbearer Eizak Torrez.
