Helen was the beloved wife of Robert (Bob) for more than 66 years. Bob preceded her in death in 2016. Helen is survived by her loving children Elena, Donald and Holly; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Helen and Bob began their life together in 1948 on the Ondrasek homestead in Baker, MT, later moved to Bowman, ND and after a job transfer, settled in Beulah, ND for nearly 50 years. During her time in Beulah, Helen worked at the elementary school, the Main Bar and an appliance store; always keeping a pulse on family, friends and neighbors.
A devoted mother, homemaker and gracious host, Helen taught herself the art of cake decorating; sharing her talents for birthdays, weddings and other special events for those in the community. Helen was a passionate leader within the VFW Auxiliary in Beulah; holding offices at the local, state and national levels. Her volunteerism spurred a passion and opportunity to travel. When Bob retired, the couple continued to travel throughout the country in their motorhome and then settled in Deming, New Mexico.
Throughout her life, Helen enjoyed entertaining family and friends with her vibrant personality and fine cooking skills. No one left Helen's house hungry. There are many secret recipes and techniques that may never be duplicated.
