Helen was born in San Geronimo, New Mexico on October 22, 1920, to Juan Gonzales and Tranquilina Roybal. She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband Tony Reade, companion, Pete Dominguez, sister Matilda Tillie Marquez, brother Luciano Gonzales, granddaughter Louri Reade, and two great-grandchildren Felicia and Antonio Reade. Helen and Tony were married in Las Vegas, New Mexico on June 15, 1938. Helen was a good mother, who always saw to our needs, a great homemaker and worked many years as a waitress at the Bell Shore, and La Fonda, besides other restaurants, where she was an excellent waitress. Helen enjoyed and loved having her family around her, and leaves behind family that loved her very much. Helen is survived by four children; Fred Sr., deceased wife Priscilla (Pat Duran), Rosemary Reade Ferrell, deceased husband, William Franklin, Gloria A. Reade Sawyers, husband, Robert H. (Buddy), Mary Helen Dominguez Holguin, husband George. Louie Garcia, was a neighbor who since he was a child considered Helen as his grandmother, so he became part of the family. Helen had twelve grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren and seventeen great-great-grandchildren. When Helen became ill, she was very well cared for by her daughter Rosemary Reade Ferrell, granddaughter Elizabeth Ann Ferrell (Liz) and her husband Marvin Weinrick, until the very end.
The family also wants to thank Kay Linda Midgett, who was her care giver when needed. Also to all the other people who helped, plus the Hospice of Deming for being there until she passed away. They were very comforting.
There will be a celebration of Helen’s life at Holy Family Church starting at 10 o’clock in the morning November 11, 2017, with Father Ronald Machado officiating the Rosary and Mass, following inurnment at Mountain View Cemetery in Deming, New Mexico.
