Edwin Wesley (Bud) Allen, 88, of Amarillo, TX, formerly of Deming, NM, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021.

His viewing will be Tuesday, October 26 at Baca's Funeral Home from 5-7pm where a rosary will follow at 7pm to be led by Suzanne Lundy. The funeral mass will be Wednesday, October 27 at 11am at Holy Family Catholic Church with burial following at Mountain View Cemetery. Fr. Prakasham Babu, Pastor will officiate.

Bud was born October 26, 1932 in Jennings, KS to Fred and Beulah Allen. He married Joyce Ronan in December of 1959 in Colorado Springs, CO. The couple moved to Deming in 1963.

Bud was a proud husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was an exceptional auctioneer, a well-known cattle trader, and a dedicated rancher. Bud loved to jitterbug with his beautiful wife, he loved to bet on a gray horse or two, and he loved his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Pennie Hooper.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce, of Amarillo, TX; his sons, Bill Allen and wife Brenda, of Deming, Steve Allen and his wife, Kim, of Deming; his son-in-law, Larry Hooper; his daughters, Cindy Tolman and husband Ray, of Deming, Becky Gilmore and husband Ed, of Amarillo, TX; 15 grandchildren and 24, with one on the way, great-grandchildren.

Entrusted to the care of Baca’s Funeral Chapels and Mimbres Crematory.

I met Bud when I would take cattle into the sale barn.He was great a auctioneer And he always had a soft heart towards me, always respectful. His daughter Pennie along with Larry were the same. I will always have fond memories of them. My condolences to the family. May Bud, Rest In Peace.
