On Friday, May 28, 2021 Donald Ray Roberts loving husband and father to three children passed away at the age 73.
Donald was born January 14, 1948 to Addis and Evalee Roberts in Deming, New Mexico. The baby of 16 children with 15 brothers and sisters.
He proudly served 2 tours of Vietnam in the United States Army. He met and married his loving wife of 47 years Sandra Roberts and together raised three children, Diana Burdick of Deming, Kenneth Burdick (Susan) of Killeen, TX, Donald R. Roberts Jr. (Norma) of Modesto, CA. Grandfathered 7 grandchildren, great-grandfathered 3 great grandchildren. He had many nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, hunting and barbecuing. He loved racing stockcars, baseball and football.
He was kind and generous ready to help his fellow man and animals.
He is preceded in death by his parents Addis and Evalee Roberts,14 brothers and sisters, many nieces and nephews and friends in service.
Visitation will be Monday, June 7, 2021 from 11 to 1 at Baca’s Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will begin at 1 o’clock with Pastor LeRoy Lacy officiating. Concluding services with honors will follow at Mt. View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Burdick, Josh Schenk, Donald Roberts Jr., Alex Roberts, Daniel Roberts and Taylor Staats.
