Diego was blessed with a large and loving family. He was a kind and respectful young man who left a lasting impression on anyone who had the pleasure of coming in contact with him. Diego, “D”, as we called him, was the ‘light’ of all family gatherings. D truly enjoyed being around family. He had a heart of gold and never hesitated to say I love you and give you a hug, or two, or three before leaving.
Diego enjoyed playing video games on his Xbox, listening to music, watching movies, cooking, and of course a good meal. Some of his favorite food was his mom’s green enchiladas, Nino Juan’s refried beans and red chili with meat, Nina Pauline’s chicken tacos, Nina Sandra’s sweet rice, and Geli’s mom’s and families’ chicken tacos, frog legs, soups baked fish, and cheese cake! As you can clearly see he was liked to try different kinds of food. He had recently taken an interest in cooking and was trying many dishes.
Diego is survived by his mother Ruth Vasquez, father Gerardo (Jerry) Dominguez; brothers Anthony (Julie), Jerry (Selina), Dominic (Myra); stepfather Frank (Pops) Aguilera; and D’s girl Angelica “Geli” Rodriguez, as Diego would call her. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Salvador “Don Chava” and Guadalupe “Lupe” Dominguez, maternal grandparents Francisco “Kico” and Maria “Tundie” Vasquez, sister Monique Reann Dominguez, niece Emma Rose Dominguez, nephew Anthony James Dominguez Jr. Diego was also preceded in death by three very special people in his life who are Tio Alfred Costales, Tia Vicky Costales and Tia Esther Costales.
