David May, 79, a resident of Lordsburg, NM entered eternal rest Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM. He was born August 5, 1942 in Spencer, Indiana to Myron May and Oneita Timmons. Mr. May proudly served his country with the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Lucy May of the family home; his mother, Oneita May; four sons, David May Jr. of Carlsbad; Scott May and wife Shelly of Las Cruces; Michael May of Las Cruces; Justin May of Lordsburg; four daughters, Carrie Strain and husband Ben of Lordsburg; Frances De La Garza and husband Arthur of Las Cruces; Serena Brito and husband Enrique of Lordsburg; Mariah May; twenty three grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two brothers, Myron Lee May and husband Maureen of FL; Roger May of Indianapolis, IN; two sisters, Diana Lovern and husband Larry of Indianapolis, IN; Sheila Valainis and husband Tony of Indianapolis, IN. He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 22nd from 9-10am at First Baptist Church in Lordsburg, NM; Funeral Service will follow at 10am with Pastor Caleb Cooper officiating. Concluding service and interment will take place at Shakespeare cemetery.
Pallbearers are Arthur De Legarda, Ben Strain, Enrique Brito, Justin May, Thomas Geaney, Efren Romero, Scott May, and David May Jr.
