CLAUD RASBERRY, 83, lifelong resident of Deming passed away Friday July 14, 2023 at his home.
A graveside service will be Thursday July 20, 2023 at 10 o’clock in the morning with Rev. Darrell L. Witmer officiating.
Claud was born June 25, 1940 in Lordsburg to Carl and Cecilia (Frerich) Rasberry. After high school he worked many years in the drilling business. Later in 1992 he established Rasberry Pump and Well Service which he owned and operated until his retirement. Claud enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his longtime friend and partner Shirley Sloas of Deming; son Christopher Rasberry of Deming; daughter Kristy Rasberry of Deming; sisters Barbara Williams (Danny) of Deming, Mary McClendon of Deming and Nellie Emerson (Walter) of Deming; 2 grandchildren, Frankie Dominguez and Lillie Dominguez; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Cecilia Rasberry, and his brother James Rasberry.
Pallbearers will be Chris Rasberry, Kristy Rasberry, Cooper Lang, Russell Farris, Jimmy Vasquez, and Matthew Sloas. Honorary bearers are Obie Means, David McClendon and Tommy McClendon.
