​​Baltazar Baca, 52, a Columbus resident passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at his home.  
 
Visitation will begin at 3 o’clock Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Baca's Funeral Chapel with the prayer vigil there that evening at 6 o’clock led by Gabriela Apodaca.  Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 o’clock in the morning Friday, September 11, 2020 at Holy Family Mission Catholic Church in Columbus with Deacon Dan Peña officiating.  Concluding services and interment will follow at Valley Heights Cemetery.
 
Baltazar was born January 14, 1968 to Martha Elena Caraveo and Baltazar Baca in Cuauhtémoc, Chihuahua, Mexico.  He was a Columbus resident since 2003 coming from Mexico.  He was a communicant of the Catholic Church. Baltazar was known for his great humor, kind heart and would willingly extend help to anyone in need.  Baltazar was a loving husband and father.
 
He is survived by wife, Blanca Baca of the home; daughter, Johana G. Baca of Las Cruces; brother, Luis Carlos Baca of CO; sisters, Norma Angelica Baca of Tucson, AZ, Yazmin Baca of CO; step-brothers, Heraclio Rodriguez of Jal, NM, Eleandro Castillo; step-sisters, Gloria Luzelia Baca of Arlington, TX, Yadira Perez of Andrews, TX, Jaqueline Duran of Arch, NM, Linda Galaviz of Seminole, TX, Patzy Rodriguez of Arlington, TX and Camelia Rodriguez of Andrews, TX.  Many extended family members and friends.  
 
He was preceded in death by parents, Martha Elena Caraveo and Baltazar Baca; step-mother, Gloria Baca.
 
Pallbearers will be Luis Baca, Rogelio Reyes, Marcos Arciniega, Primitivo Arciniega, Erick Rodriguez and Jesús Chairez.
 
Baltazar will be greatly missed. 
 
Entrusted to the care of Baca’s Funeral Chapels.
