He was born November 18, 1926 in Santa Rita NM to Rosa Cordova Marrujo and Paz Holguin Marrujo. Alfredo was a man of many talents and enjoyed working with his hands; from tending to his garden, making jewelry, belt buckles and more. He loved the outdoors and his many camping trips (Gallinas Canyon), but nothing brought him happiness and great joy like spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Alfredo was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during WWII in the Pacific. He came back and started working for Kennecott Copper Corp. He married the love of his life, Lupe Centeno Pedraza, they were married for 66 years. Together they raised three children; two sons, Alfred P. Marrujo of Silver City, Armando P. Marrujo (Sonia) of Arenas Valley and one daughter Rosa Linda M. Ortiz (Arthur) of Santa Clara. He is also survived by five granddaughters; Annette Marrujo-Vigil of Silver City, Estrella Exham (Rob) of Phoenix, AZ, Amanda Marrujo of Las Cruces, Pam Ortiz and Cheridye Ortiz (Louie Menchaca) of Las Cruces, NM. Five great-grandchildren; Hector Vigil, Jacob Vigil, McKenna and Kade Exham and Amelia Menchaca. He is also survived by his sisters in law Carmen P. Nunez (Simon-Deceased), Mary Lou P. Marrujo (Daniel-Deceased), Rosie R. Pedraza (Genaro-Deceased), Frances P. Ambriz (Ambrosio.) Also, surviving Alfredo are two very special nieces, Margaret G. Chavez, and Carolina G. Serna, and many more nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Lupe (September 24, 2018) whom he loved whole heartedly until her passing. The last six years of their marriage Alfredo spent day in and day out fulfilling his vows in taking care of his wife through her extended illness. Also preceding his death are his parents Rosa and Paz Marrujo, and siblings Carolina M. Grijalva, Manuel C. Marrujo, Luis C. Marrujo, Daniel C. Marrujo.
