David Jacobo, age 27, was arrested on a Luna County Magistrate court warrant for failure to appear… Diego Sisneros, age 31, of Belen, NM was arrested on a Luna County Magistrate court warrant for failure to appear… Jeremy Haynes, age 41, was arrested on a Deming Municipal court warrant for failure to appear… Joseph Asarisi, age 43, was arrested on a Luna County Magistrate court warrant for failure to appear… Mariah Alcorta, age 27, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, on a 6th Judicial District court warrant for failure to appear, and a Deming Municipal court warrant for failure to appear… Sergio Soto, age 42, from El Paso ,TX, was arrested on a Luna County Magistrate court warrant for failure to appear… Guadalupe Aceves, age 42, from Albuquerque, was arrested for Driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Alexandra Morales, age 36, was arrested on a Luna County Magistrate court warrant for failure to pay fines… Isaac Diaz, age 25, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance prohibited – fentanyl, criminal trespass, shoplifting, possession of drug paraphernalia, and on a 6th Judicial District Court warrant for failure to appear… James Oranen, age 37, was arrested on a Luna County Magistrate court warrant for failure to appear and three Deming Municipal court warrants all for failure to appear… Christian Rubio, age 28, of Columbus, NM, was arrested on a Luna County Magistrate court warrant for failure to appear… Marie Sandoval, age 40, was arrested for DWI, improper equipment, no insurance and no registration.
Zeus Romero, age 25, was arrested for aggravated DWI and speeding… Joseph Betado, age 23, was arrested on a Luna County Magistrate court warrant for failure to pay fines… Isaac Chairez, age 18, was arrested on a Deming Municipal court warrant for failure to appear… Leticia Mosqueda, age 41, was arrested on a 6th Judicial District court warrant for failure to appear and interference with officers… Teodoro Ruiz, age 40, of Long Beach. CA, was arrested for driving with a suspended or revoked license… Matthew Holguin, age 36, of Mesilla Park, NM, was arrested for DWI and driving with an open container.

The Belshore Restaurant on East Spruce Street was broken into, it appears nothing was taken, and no damage estimate was available.
A Columbus woman reported that she had a flat tire, and as it was being repaired, it was damaged further. The total cost of the new tire was $300.
There was a hit and run report taken in the 200 block of South Main Street in Columbus. The Sheriff’s Department reports stated that a white 2016 GMC pick up hit a red Dodge vehicle and left the scene. The accident occurred at the Columbus Post Office and no damage estimate was given.
Mail was stolen from a residence in the 5-thousand block of Racetrack Road NW, then the victim found that a check was being cashed at Wells Fargo Bank. Sheriff’s Detectives are following up on the incident.
A Burglary report was taken from a residence in the 3-thousand block of Columbus Road. The report says property was taken, and there is an unknown value amount at this time.
Luna County Fire and Rescue extinguished flames from a vehicle fire at the Apache Homelands Convenience Center at Akela. The driver of a 2010 BMW smelled smoke from the engine, and by the time she pulled into the Convenience Center, the vehicle caught fire. No damage estimate was available.
There was a burglary reported in the 2400 block of Daisy Lane SE, after a flat screen TV and wood heaters were reported stolen. There was no value listed on the report.
A White GMC pick up traveling north on State Road 11 at mile marker 16 hit and killed a deer, Sheriff’s reports did not list the damage amount done to the vehicle.
A well pressure tank valued at $1,200 was stolen from a residence in the 700 block of Apache Hills Road NW.
Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a semi-tractor trailer rig roll over on State Road 9 at mile marker 103. The driver from El Paso, TX told Deputies that high wind was the cause of the rollover.
