DEMING – What started as a simple request to trespass a local woman from Deming’s Walmart ended up with her arrest.
35-year-old Keyla House was stopped by Deming Police in the parking lot of Wendy’s and was going to be given a trespass warning to stay away from Walmart for causing a disturbance.
According to Deming Police Chief Clint Hogan, House spat on three Deming officers and smacked one officer in the head. House was taken to the ground and while handcuffed, she again spat in the face of another officer.
House was arrested and officially charged with three counts of battery on a peace officer, resisting, evading or obstructing an officer and also on a Dona Ana County warrant for failure to appear.
