DEMING - Deming residents will begin to see two new faces in police uniforms soon.
Deming Police Chief Clint Hogan told Deming Radio News that the city has hired two new officers to patrol the streets of Deming.
Hogan said, “We are happy to welcome 2 new police officers to our department, Timothy Kuscsick and Ernesto Almanza. Both men were sworn in last week.
Officer Almanza is from Deming, and Officer Kuscsick hails from South Carolina to join the local police force.
Both officers will be attending the next available New Mexico Police Academy in Santa Fe for the 6 month academy training and certification.
Currently, the officers are working under field training officers covering different shifts.
