DEMING – On Thursday afternoon of last week, Deming Public Schools bus #43 going to Columbus made an emergency stop to attend student related medical emergencies.
According to a Deming Public School Official, seven students reported that they were having a hard time breathing, and one became lethargic.
Out of an abundance of caution, EMS transported five students to Mimbres Memorial Hospital for further evaluation. The five were treated, monitored, and released.
All other students were transported to their regular bus stops. All parents of students on Bus #43 were notified of the situation and no further incidents were reported.
