DEMING - The Red Mountain Middle School Band showcased exceptional talent and dedication at the state competition held in Las Cruces on February 27th. Under the guidance of their instructor, Johnnie Lang, the band members delivered stellar performances, earning accolades and high scores from the panel of judges.
Judges Anthony Baca from Albuquerque, Nick Flood from El Paso, Rebecca Rodriguez also from El Paso, and Sam Nesbit from Rio Rancho, witnessed the remarkable skills of the RMMS Band. The students' stage ratings were outstanding, with scores of 94, 94, and 95 out of 100, demonstrating their mastery of the musical pieces. Additionally, their sight-reading prowess garnered a score of 96 out of 100.
