DEMING - In a bid to combat food insecurity and support the local community, Pack the Pantry 2024, proudly presented by First Financial Credit Union, has officially launched its food and supply drive. Running from February 5th through March 15th, the initiative aims to rally the community together for a common cause.
Residents are urged to participate by generously donating non-perishable food items at three convenient drop-off locations - First Financial Credit Union, situated at 801 East Cedar Street, and Pepper's Supermarket, located at 812 East Florida Street and KDEM & KOTS Studios 1700 South Gold Street.
The call is for simple yet impactful contributions, such as a can of soup, a jar of peanut butter, or a boxed meal. The goal is to collect a diverse array of items to address the varied needs of those facing challenges in the community.
All donations received during the drive will go towards supporting Deming Helping Hand, a local non-profit organization dedicated to providing assistance to those in need. The collaborative effort seeks to ease the burden on families and individuals who are currently facing heightened challenges.
