DEMING - The City of Deming’s Inflatable Water Park will remain closed over the weekend.
According to city officials the decision to keep the park closed follows the detection of an unfamiliar oily substance in the water.
Officials sent samples of the substance for analysis, and as of today they are still waiting for results.
A city official told Deming radio news that they appreciate the public’s understanding that the park has to be closed for now out of safety precautions until the substance has been identified and removed.
