DEMING – Luna County Commission will be meeting in a work and regular session Thursday March 14th.
According to the official agenda, the meeting will start with a work Session at 9:30am followed by the official meeting at 10am.
No action will be taken during the work session.
The meeting is being held at the Historic Luna County Courthouse in the Commission Chambers on the third floor 700 S. Silver Street.
Service awards will be presented to Nora Herrera for 5 years at the Detention Center and Mary Ramirez for 5 years as Parents as Teachers.
New Mexico State Senator, from our local district 28, Siah Hemphill told Deming Radio News that she will be giving the Commission and the local public a report from the 30-day Legislative Session that ended in January.
A report on the County’s Fiscal Audit will also be given to the Commission.
The results of the February Detention Center Inspection will be given to the Commission.
Elected officials and the County Manager will give their report to the Commission.
The commission will also proclaim April as Child Abuse Awareness Month and Fair Houring month.
