DEMING – The Luna County Board of Commissioners will be holding their regular monthly meeting this morning at 10. (Thursday)
Service Awards will be given out to Irma Geaney for 5 years at Parents as Teachers, Jesse Perez, for 5 years at the Road Department, Frankie Tarazon for 15 years at the Planning Department and Lauree Sanchez for 20 years at the Dispatch Center.
The commission will also accept motions and make roll call votes on the collective bargaining agreement for the Luna County Detention Center, and for the Luna County Sheriff’s Department.
The New Business items include motion and roll call vote for local Commission on Aging Board Member Dan Martin.
The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. this morning (Thursday) in the Commission chambers on the third floor of the Historic Luna County Courthouse 700 South Silver Street in Deming.
The meeting is open to the public.
The board will also meet in executive session or closed session after the open meeting to discuss limited personnel matters and pending litigation.
A motion and vote will be done back in open session after the closed meeting adjourns.
