DEMING - Four local 4-H participants recently went to Milford, Iowa to participate in the 4-H National Wildlife Habitat Evaluation Competition program.
The local youth were given the opportunity to travel to 4-H National Wildlife Competition after placing first in the New Mexico competition.
The competition was held the end of July, first part of August and competed against teams from all over the United States.
The local team placed 8th in the National Competition. County Extension Agent Jack Blandford told Deming Radio News that he was very happy with the 8th place in nationals.
