Our members/friends meeting on March 18 at 11 am has two interesting speakers on the agenda.....Dr. Cole Wenzel will speak on local animal diseases and the future of veterinary medicine and Mike Reitz of DAGSHIP Rescue will be telling us about DAGSHIP's upcoming participation in the PAWS dog training program at Southern NM Correctional Facility. Yes, we're sending some of our dogs in need of intensive socialization to jail! We think they'll love all the attention and come back to DAGSHIP as Rock Stars.
One of our wonderful kitten foster caregivers noticed that her neighbor was leaving a mama dog and her two small pups outdoors in the brutally cold weather; she spoke with the neighbor who no longer wanted the dogs and asked for help. Within 2 weeks of coming to DAGSHIP, mama Rosa was adopted by snowbirds from Canada, puppy Archie was adopted by a snowbird from Washington and Jughead was transferred to Animal Rescue of the Rockies. And all of this happened within two weeks!
Our little Jingle Bells continues to improve from hip fracture surgery.
