PHoto Credit:Image by Monica Volpin from Pixabay DEMING – Salsa in Deming is a big deal. Everyone has their favorite. To celebrate this, Deming MainStreet will once again be hosting the 2023 Salsa Festival Extravaganza this Saturday July 29th.
All events during Saturday’s Salsa Festival will be held at the Luna County Courthouse Park 700 South Silver Street in Deming.
The entertainment for the event will be live music by the Badlands starting at 6 p.m. and going on until 10 p.m.
Traditional events at the park will include the Chile cookoff contest, salsa tasting, watermelon and jalapeno eating contests, and vendors.
There will be a dance performance by the Southwest Fine Arts Studio at the pavilion at 1 p.m. The cornhole tournament and a tortilla toss competition will be held on Poplar Street located behind the courthouse starting at 10 a.m.
For the adults, Boogies Brewery and Distillery will be set up on the south side of the Courthouse Park Pavilion.
All events are free to the public and will be held at the Luna County Courthouse Park will be from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
