DEMING - Here is the "good news" update from Deming Animal Guardians and DAGSHIP rescue.
Please join us for our annual Members & Friends meeting on Saturday, March 18 at 11 am at the Deming Art Museum - Transportation wing. Speakers are Dr. Wenzel Cole of SW Veterinary Clinic speaking on "The Future of Veterinary Medicine & Companion Animal Diseases in Luna County" and Mike Retz of DAGSHIP Rescue will speak on the PAWS Program that will begin soon, a major step to help Luna County become a NO KILL County. There will be sandwiches & a dessert table.
Columbus Animal Rescue reports that over 50 young kittens were rescued from feral cat colonies and the last of these were transferred to rescue partners in Colorado. If a feral cat is handed before it is 5-6 wks old, it can become a non-feral, companion animal cat.
Little Guero, another rescue was locally rescued and is now living happily in Wyoming. He's definitely need that blanket there!
