DEMING — The City of Deming has been working to create an all-inclusive recreational experience to enhance the quality of life for the residents of Deming.
The City is working on exciting opportunities to access State Funding through the New Mexico Quality of Life Grant, addressing a prominent need in the southwest region of New Mexico.
Expanding on the established investment of Trees Lake, this initiative continues to encourage outdoor experiences through play while simultaneously building educational experiences through ecosystem and cultural history.
City Manager Aaron Sera said, “Plans at Trees Lake include further development of the existing infrastructure to house boating and fishing facilities.”
Also, construction of a new infrastructure to support an outdoor inflatable sports park, kayak rentals and a shallow swim zone. The proposed inflatable park will be a one-of-a-kind feature in the southwestern region that has a capacity of 150 users and is expandable to 250 users.
Sera said, “This project prioritizes livability as a core strategy for recruiting, retaining, and expanding business in the community.”
For more information contact Aaron Sera at City Hall.
