
Visitation will be Thursday October 11, 2018 from 6 until 7 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church where recitation of the rosary will follow at 7 o’clock led by Eddie and Guillermina Diaz. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 10 o’clock also at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with the rite of committal and interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Fr. Manuel Ibarra, Pastor, will officiate.
She was born September 4, 1935, in Casas Grandes, Chihuahua Mexico, to Juan and Nestora Martinez. She and her family moved to Deming in 1945, where she resided till her death. She was very devoted to her faith and was part of The Apostolado at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. As a teenager she worked at the Sunshine Cleaners. She married Maximino Flores in 1953 and became a devoted homemaker to her family. She also worked at the Bel Shore Restaurant, helping her sister, Farmer’s Supermarket Deli Dept. and Deming Electronics after the passing of her husband.
She is survived by her sons Max (Rose), Julian (Amy), and Edward (Denise). God-Daughter Hortencia Yasarrez (Miguel). Her grandchildren Melissa Flores-Krause (William), Christina Flores-Ramos (Michael), Robert Flores, step grandchildren Lauren (Chris) Solano, Kayla and Jonathan Troup, Matthew Flores (Brianna), Andrew Flores, Marissa Flores, step great-grand children Emily and Zachariah Solano, great-granddaughter Brooklynn Flores, her sister Manuela Giron, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Candida was preceded in death by her parents; husband Maximino Flores, and brother Lorenzo Martinez.
Serving as pallbearers are Matthew Flores, Andrew Flores, Robert Flores, Mike Giron, Albert Montez, and Raymond Sanchez.
We would like to thank, and are very grateful to the staff at Mimbres Memorial Nursing Home for the care she received the last 3 years, Dr. Bassam Al-Homsi, and Amber Care Hospice for the compassionate care and comfort they provided her and her family at the time of her passing.
