Luna County Sheriff’s Captain Jose Martinez said neighbors discovered the body of 74-year-old Roger Charlet in his Arrowhead Drive Home at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Martinez said it appeared Charlet died of natural causes and foul play was not suspected.
Charlet drove east in the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 for at least eight miles on January 4th, and was arrested for aggravated DUI, aggravated fleeing from law enforcement officers, resisting arrest, reckless driving and having an open container. A breath test showed his blood-alcohol level was three-times the legal limit.
Charlet also was arrested December 8th and charged with DUI after being involved in a non-injury accident.
