
The event will begin at 4:30 p.m. with a welcome by Faye McClement, WNMU Special Assistant to the President for Cultural Affairs.
Live music by the Byron Trammell Trio is scheduled to begin at 4:45 p.m.
Then at 5:45 p.m., WNMU President Dr. Joseph Shepard will give the State of the University address, followed by a special presentation to former State Representative Dona Irwin.
Games, refreshments and informational booths will be set up as well.
The event will run until 7:30 p.m.
Again, the Western New Mexico University “In Your Community” event for Deming will be this Friday, October 13th, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at Courthouse Park.
